MANAGE APPOINTMENTS ONLINE
Making an appointment
We can usually fit you in for an appointment with a clinician on the day you choose.
If the surgery is full you may be asked to come on the following day, unless the problem is urgent and then you will be seen by a clinician that day.
Of course you may choose to see which ever doctor you wish but this may mean we are unable to offer you an appointment on the day of your choosing. You will be offered the first available appointment for the clinician of your choice. During some periods, such as holidays, there may be only one doctor on duty.
Online consultations
For online consultations please follow the link on the home page or click here if you would like to use this service.
Telephone consultations
If you feel you do not need to see a doctor or clinician in person, we are normally able to organise a telephone consultation after surgery has finished for the day. In addition to this we now have a limited number of 5 minute telephone consulation appointments available every morning between 8.30-8.45am. We cannot guarantee which doctors will be available for these appointments, but hope that they will increase the convenience of our service.
Making an appointment online
Making an appointment online via Patient Access maybe easier for you. To sign up for this service please contact the surgery via telephone or come in in person to register for a password which will allow you access to this online service. You can find out more on our PCN website.
Cancelling your appointment
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let the surgery know as soon as possible so the appointment can be made available to another patient.
Home visits
Where possible, we prefer to see patients in the surgery. If you feel you need a home visit, please inform the surgery before 10.30am.
Attending your appointment with an infectious condition
If you feel you have a condition which could be infectious please mention this to the receptionist when booking your appointment. Arrangements can then be made for you to use a side entrance and wait to be seen in separate room.
Better Access
Appointments are available to be pre-booked for Tuesday morning 7.00–8.00 at Whitby Group Practice and on Saturday mornings 8.30–12.00 at Sleights Surgery. You must book these appointments via Egton surgery in the normal opening hours.
